About the Cimarron Region
Welcome to the Cimarron Region of PCA!
We hope you find this site informative and helpful place to find out what is going on within the club. If you have any questions or comments, you'll let us know.
The Cimarron Region was formed to provide Porsche enthusiasts, through both social and driving events, an avenue to learn more about their cars, how to drive them and to enjoy the comraderie of fellow Porsche owners.
Some Cimarron Region activites include:
The Wild Fork
A club breakfast is held every Saturday at The Wild Fork for club members at 8:00 a.m. Check the events page for the location of The Wild Fork.
Cimarron region has several gatherings a year, usually at local restaurants or a members house, where you can come and meet fellow PCA members in a relaxed social atmosphere. Be sure to check the events page to see what social gathering will be happening next.
An autocross is a closed-course driving event where the objective is to complete the course in a safe manner in the shortest amount of time possible. Usually held in a large open area with the course marked with traffic cones. It's a great place to learn how to drive and corner your car. Cimarron region holds many of these throughout the year. Check your newsletter or the events page here online to find out when the next event will be happening.
Driver education is offered by many regions and you may enter in any regions Drivers Education event you wish. The purpose of these events is to teach drivers how to high performance drive your vehicle with emphasis on improving your safety skills with the help of qualified in car instructors.
Cimarron Region holds two such events, one in May(Mayfast) and one in October(Octoberfast) at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit.
Oktoberfast Club Race and Driver Education
Oktoberfast is one of our region's biggest events. We are now in our 11th consecutive year running this event and it has grown to be one of the best events for our region. Our members really get out for this one and we get great support from all of our club race sponsors. This is also a great spectator event! You can come out to the track and see some purpose built Porsche race cars, as well as some daily drivers, in action.
Club members can take occasional tours of the historical or scenic areas within the region. These events usually involve caravan style driving to specific locations and are normally 1 or 2 day trips.
Tech sessions are held throughout the year and help owners learn more about the upkeep and technical specifications and workings of their cars. We have conducted a CimTech for several years and are currently looking for someone who might be interested in taking over this events planning. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact one of our region board members.
